WAV Class 3 Hours Weekend

The three-hour WAV Training course covers legal requirements of transporting people with disabilities, sensitivity and etiquette training, passenger assistance techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a Certificate of Completion.

You must have a TLC Receipt and TLC License # before you register WAV Class.

Sensitivity Training for Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles

The TLC requires all Medallion Taxicab and For-Hire Vehicle (FHV) applicants to complete Wheelchair Passenger Assistance Training. New applicants must complete the training in order to get a license and existing licensed drivers must complete the training in order to renew their TLC licenses.

TLC REQUIREMENTS:

You must take a WAV (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle) training after you get fingerprinted at the TLC.
The TLC will reject your application if you do not take the class within 90 days of submitting your license application.
THE SOONER YOU TAKE THE CLASS, THE SOONER THE TLC WILL SEND YOU YOUR LICENSE!
